PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah University men's basketball team (7-6, 0-4 CCC) faced off against No 2. Oregon Tech (13-2, 3-2 CCC) on Friday night at Jim
Skagen Court, but the
Hustlin' Owls lived up to their ranking and defeated the Lions 83-118.
In their first game of the season without
Justin Martin it was Freshman
Jaeden Ingram who stepped up and led the Lions with 25 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks. Ingram posted a new career-high of 25 points, beating out his previous high of 23 against the College of Idaho
Yotes.
Zach Richardson also added in 19 points of his own, and Chase
Faris added 10 points and 4 assists in his first game in the starting line-up this season.
Oregon Tech showed just how deep their bench truly is by outscoring the Lions 11-51 on the night.The Owls had six players score in double-figures led by Tyler
Hieb and Seth Erickson with 17-points each. Garret Albrecht added a double-double including 10- rebounds and 11-points. Scotty
Burge, Harrison
Steiger, and Matt Van
Tassell added 14-points each in the win for the
Hustlin" Owls.
Up next for the Lions is a matchup with Southern Oregon University on Saturday night at 7:30 PM. The Lions will look to bounce back against the Raiders, who coming fresh off a 100-92 victory against Warner Pacific.
