IRVINE, Cal. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team opened up its season yesterday in a non-conference game against Hope International University on Tuesday, losing 0-13 on the road. This is the first game of a three-game road trip for the Lions.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Royals got off to a quick start against the Lions, scoring their first goal in the first minute of play. They finished the first half leading MU 0-9.
- For the Lions, Jose Lopez lead the team with 3 saves, while Ivan Morales finished with 2 saves.
- Christopher Ribet lead the Royals with three goals, while Cory Booth and John Mejia added two goals each.
COMING UP NEXT:
- The Lions continue their non-conference play in California this week at St. Katherine College on Friday, and at Soka University of America on Saturday. With 17 freshman joining Multnomah this year, the Lions are looking to gain experience and develop chemistry with one another as they continue their pre-season play.
