PORTLAND – The Multnomah University men's basketball team kept their playoff hopes alive on Friday, defeating Evergreen State 100-82 on Jim Skagen Court.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The first half went back and forth as MU built an 11-point lead before Evergreen fought back to tie the game at 37-37 with two minutes to go in the half.
- It was a different story from three points range as the Lions hit 19 of 55 shots from deep while the Geoducks managed only one make on 16 attempts from behind the arc.
- MU's 10 second half threes made the different as the Lions pulled away from Evergreen with a 12-4 run midway through.
- The lead reached as high as 24 points for the Lions as they look for one more win to reach the conference tournament.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Justin Martin led five Lions in double figures with 36 points. Behind him was Ben Grandle with 22 points, Brett Blackstock with 16 points, Zach Richardson with 13 points and Andy Brown with 10 points.
- Blackstock added 10 rebounds for this sixth double-double of the season.
- For Evergreen, Malik Redmond finished with 24 points and Dalton Groenewold collected 22 boards along with 19 points.
COMING UP NEXT:
The Lions close out the regular season tomorrow night against Northwest University as they honor six seniors on senior night. A win will earn the Lions a berth in the Cascade Conference postseason tournament.
