PORTLAND – The Multnomah University men's basketball team came up just short against Northwest University, ending their season with a 104-98 loss on Jim Skagen Court on Saturday night.

GAME SUMMARY:
- After a close first half ended in a one-point difference, Northwest opened the second half with a 23-10 run to make their first breakaway from the Lions.
- Down by 15 with just over six minutes to play, MU kept up the fight as they drained multiple contested threes to come within four points of the Eagles.
- The deficit was too much to overcome as NU hit late free throws down the stretch to keep the game out of reach.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Justin Martin finished with 40 points to lead both squads while Zach Richardson added 27 points.
- Brett Blackstock tallied 18 points and Andy Brown added eight points and nine rebounds. Ben Grandle collected 12 boards on the night to lead MU.
- For Northwest, Hussayn Ford finished with a double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds.
