CALDWELL, Idaho – The Multnomah University women's basketball team (2-5, 0-2 CCC) faced off against the College of Idaho Yotes (4-7, 2-0 CCC) on Saturday night, but the Yotes capiotalized on an early lead to win 47-81.
The game started off with both teams scoring back and forth, and with the Lions down 6-7 less than three minutes into the game, the Yotes started their 23-0 run with a Kiersten Rasmussen jumper. The Lions were then held without a point until
Rachelle Tau tallied a basket 15 seconds into the first possession of the second quarter. The Lions trailed 14-56 at the half, and even after a much improved second half, the Yotes lead remained out of reach.
Erykah Campbell recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Lions, while
Rachelle Tau added 10 points and 5 rebounds.
On the Yotes side, Mackenzie Royce-Radford filled up the stat sheet with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and two steals. Kaylee Krusemark added 10 points as well.
