The Multnomah University Women's basketball team (3-6) traveled to Pacific University (4-2) to face off against the Boxers on Friday night, but the Lions fell 40-77.
The Lions looked to get back-to-back wins for the first time this season, but unfortunately got down 4-17 early in the game and allowed the tandem of Camy Aguinaldo and Courtney Carolan to find their offensive rhythm. Aguinaldo and Carolan combined for 36 points, and the Boxers forced the Lions into 19 turnovers.
However, the Lions did show some positive signs on the offensive side of the floor as
Rachelle Tau led the team with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Alaygza Portis also chipped in 8 points and 2 assists while
Erykah Campbell had 7 points and 6 rebounds.
Up next for the Lions is a road game at Warner Pacific on Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30 PM.Â
