PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lions battled Warner Pacific University on Tuesday night, but the Knights continued a tenacious full-court press against MU, and in the end WPU's defense proved victorious in a 32-66 defeat of the Lions.
The Lions struggled to break the press early, and Warner Pacific jumped out to a 14 point lead early, and by halftime the Lions were trailing 20-47.
The Warner Pac defense forced 22 Lions turnovers and held them to 24.4% shooting.
Multnomah was led by Erykah Campbell's 10 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks. Rachelle Tau and Alagza Portis each added 6 points.
Warner Pacific was led by Darbi Pink, who scored 20 points to go along side 4 assists and 4 steals. Courtney Jackson had 13 points and 6 rebounds and Gabriella Bruno had 11 points as well.
