PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's basketball team (1-1) matched up against the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran University (2-0) on Saturday afternoon at Jim Skagen Court. The Lions played an up-tempo offense against the Lutes, and even after a 12-12 first quarter score their 24 turnovers ended up being too much too overcome as the Lutes defeated the Lions 53-73.
Alaygza Portis was a natural leader on the floor for the Lions and lead them in scoring with 19 points, while teammate
Dalila Rincan added 10.
Erykah Campbell had a productive all-around game with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks.
The Lutes were lead by duo Katie Taylor and Madison Salisbury who combined for 43 points on 17-27 shooting. Emma Janousek found her rhythm in the second half and had an 18 point 5 rebound night.
