SALEM, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's volleyball team faced off against No. 12 ranked Corban on Saturday night, but it was the Warriors who walked away victorious in three sets 20-25, 16-25, 15-25.
Both teams came out of the gates strong, with Corban hitting at a .310 clip and Multnomah attacking at a .292 mark in set one. The Warriors got better and better as the match progressed, however, attacking at an impressive .522 clip in a 25-15 set-three triumph.
Multnomah's
Taylor Howie (10 kills, .100 attack percentage) was the only player to reach double-digit kills on the evening.
Serenity Lomprey finished the night with 7 kills, and
Taryn Frey added 5. Frey and Lomprey also combined to post five blocks for MU.
Amanda Holm dished out 22 assists and
Alyssa Mehalovich and
Kamaile Labanon each had six digs.
The Lions will return home for their final weekend of the season, and first will face Eastern Oregon University on Friday, November 8th.
