La Grande, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's volleyball team faced off against #5 Eastern Oregon University on Saturday night, but fell to the Mountaineers in three sets (14-25), (11-25), (16-25).

GAME SUMMARY:
The Lions played hard Saturday night, but in the end the Mountaineers showed why they are ranked fifth in the nation ending the night with 27 kills and hitting percentage of -.070 compared to the Lions 20 kills with a hitting percentage of .120..
For the Lions Junior
Kamaile Labanon lead the team with 6 kills, while Freshman
Emma Morcom added 5 kills of her own. Freshman
Amanda Holm racked up 10 digs and 15 assists, and Sophomore
Alyssa Mehalovich finished the night with 13 digs.
Jet Taylor lead the Mountaineers with 8 kills, while teammates Breanna Shaffer and Megan Bunn both had 4 kills. Madison Pilon finished the night with 13 assists. As a team the Mountaneers showed a strong defensive effort and dug the ball 55 times.

The Lions travel to Walla Walla University tomorrow to play in the last game of their three-game road trip when they take on the Wolves at 4:00 PM.
