Olympia, Wash. – The Multnomah University women's volleyball team battled hard on Saturday night against The Evergreen State College on the second night of a back-to-back, but it was the Geoducks were able to walk away victorious in three sets 19-25, 14-25, 21-25.

GAME SUMMARY:
The Lions played the Geoducks tight on Saturday night, but Evergreen State's hitting proved to be too much for MU, as the Lions fell in three sets. The Geoducks hit .229 for the match while the Lions hit .089 for the match and a best .154 in the third set.
Kamaile Labanon lead the Lions with 7 kills, but teammates
Taryn Frey and
Taylor Howie followed right behind her with 6 kills each.
Amanda Holm played great for the Lions, finishing with 23 assists on the night, and
Kamaile Labanon anchored the Lions defense with 11 digs.
Lexi Sanchez stood out for Evergreen State, registering 27 assists, while Nicole Duryea had 14 digs. The Geoducks recorded six total team blocks.

The Lions return home for back-to-back home games against the Oregon Institute of Technology and Southern Oregon University. MU faces OIT at 7:00 PM Friday night and SOU Saturday night at Jim Skagen Court in Portland, Ore.
