SALEM – The Multnomah University women's basketball team fell just short of a comeback on Saturday, splitting the weekend with a 78-70 loss to Corban University on the road.

GAME SUMMARY:
- In a strong offensive performance from both teams, the first quarter went back and forth as Corban edged out the Lions 25-20.
- Down by as much as 13 points, MU cut the lead to only seven, heading into halftime down 39-32.
- Multnomah shot 44 percent on the day while the Warriors finished with a shooting percentage of 50 percent.
- The Lions erased a 14-point deficit in the third quarter, coming within three points of the lead heading into the final quarter.
- Corban scored six straight points to start the fourth, edging out the Lions to end the night.
