ASHLAND – Southern Oregon University got their revenge on the Multnomah University women's basketball team, defeating the Lions 77-60 in Ashland on Friday night.

GAME SUMMARY:

• The first quarter was the difference for the Lions who allowed 27 points in the opening period of play.
• MU calmed down defensively with an even second quarter, heading into the locker room down 41-27.
• SOU edged out the Lions in shooting, finishing 45 percent from the field compared to 40 percent for MU.
• The Lions outscored the Raiders in the third quarter but couldn't overcome the deficit as Southern Oregon kept their lead with 14 offensive rebounds.

 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Sequoia Wheeler led the Lions with 25 points while Bethany George and Milan Woods added 11 points and 10 points respectively.
