PORTLAND – The Multnomah University volleyball team suffered a three-set loss (25-19, 25-16, 25-15) on Saturday to Evergreen State on Jim Skagen Court.

GAME SUMMARY:

• Multnomah led early in the first set before a 5-1 swing by Evergreen gave the Geoducks the lead for the remainder of the set.
• Evergreen used an early 5-0 run to gain ground over the Lions in set number two before scoring the final four points to go up 2-0 in sets.
• The Geoducks hit .396 as a team while holding the Lions to a hitting percentage of .071 and recording 10 blocks on the night.
• Evergreen scored the first four points of the final set before sinking the Lions with a 9-2 run midway through.

 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Emma Wall and Maile Kam each recorded eight kills for the Lions while Marissa Rhodes tallied 27 assists on the night.
• Sydney Amundsen added six kills while Emily Weidlich collected 11 digs.
• For Evergreen, Natalie Taylor and Renita Gray recorded 13 and 12 kills respectively.
