PORTLAND – The Multnomah University volleyball picked up their second straight win, and their first Cascade Collegiate Conference win as they downed Walla Walla University in straight sets on Friday afternoon.
THE BASICS:

Records: WU (0-8, 0-7 CCC), MU (3-12, 1-6 CCC)

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Lions came out firing, using a 12-3 run to pull away from the Wolves in the first set, taking the early advantage.
- MU hit .145 on the day while holding Walla Walla to a hitting percentage of .133.
- In the second set, MU used another big run (10-1), building a lead to large of overcome for WWU who fought back to within two points of the lead.
- The Wolves led for a majority of the third set before MU tied the match with four straight points, eventually pulling ahead to secure the sweep.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Maile Kam led the Lions, recording 10 kills while splitting time as setter, collected 13 assists as well. Kam also added 10 digs on the day.
- Marissa Rhodes totaled 20 assists while Rachel Leshikar finished with 15 digs.
- Sarah Halversen led the Wolves with 10 kills off of 23 swings.
