SALEM – Coming up against their first ranked opponent in 2018, the Multnomah University volleyball team struggled offensively against 19
th-ranked Corban University, losing in three sets on the road on Saturday.
THE BASICS:

GAME SUMMARY:
- Offense was hard to come by for the Lions as Corban held MU to hitting percentages of less than .100 in two of the three sets.
- The Warriors opened set one with a 9-2 start, before going up 17-5 to put set one out of reach.
- MU played their toughest set in the third, fighting back from a 17-6 deficit to come within four points at 18-14. Corban continued to string together points to finish off the match with a hitting percentage of .326 overall.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Sydney Amundson and Maile Kam led the Lions on offense with nine kills each while Savannah White added five of her own.
- Marissa Rhodes tallied 21 assists, putting her season total over 250.

The Lions return home next weekend as they hold their first home contests of the season, welcoming in Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho.
