EUGENE – The Multnomah University volleyball team opened Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a three-set loss to Northwest Christian, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18, on the road on Friday night.

GAME SUMMARY:
- The Beacons strung some early points together to take an early lead before an 8-2 run by the Lions tied the first set at 14-14. NCU closed out the first set with the final five points to take the set 25-19.
- NCU held Multnomah to a -.172 hitting percentage in the second set as the Lions finished with 11 errors to fall behind 2-0 in sets.
- After trading off points in the third set, NCU closed out the match using a 9-3 run to pull away from the Lions.
