SPOKANE – The Multnomah University Volleyball team dropped the opening game of the season to Carroll College on Friday, falling 3-0 in the Spokane Volleyball Tournament.

- GAME SUMMARY:
- Carroll College took over the first set after trailing 10-9, scoring seven straight points to pull away, winning 25-18 for the early advantage.
- The Saints came out firing in the second set, jumping out to a 9-1 lead. The deficit was too big for the Lions to overcome as Carroll took a 2-0 lead in sets.
- Multnomah bounced back after struggling in set two, sticking close with the Saints throughout the set. Carroll used a 5-2 run to get just ahead of MU to hold on to the win.
