MERCED, Calif. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team got back on the winning side of things on Saturday afternoon, defeating the University of St. Katherine at UC Merced.

GAME SUMMARY:

• Team remained relatively close throughout the first half as Multnomah headed into the break with a four-point lead.
• The Lions jumped ahead in the third quarter, outscoring their opponent 26-14 as Sequoia Wheeler got things going with a jumper.
• MU pulled away further with a 13-4 run to take a 16-point lead heading into the final quarter.

 
 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Erykah Campbell finished with a program record 18 rebounds while adding 17 points for her first double-double as a Lion.
• Adding 11 points was Rachelle Tau and Sequoia Wheeler totaled 10 points. Bethany George added nine points while Kayla Alvarez contributed seven points, three assists and two steals.
