PORTLAND – The Multnomah University women's basketball played a hard-fought game on Saturday night falling to NCAA Division III opponent the University of Puget Sound 73-61 on Jim Skagen Court.

GAME SUMMARY:

• The Loggers built a 19-point lead in the first half before settling for a 41-30 advantage heading into the halftime break.
• MU shot 39 percent from the field while Puget Sound finished with a shooting percentage of 50 percent on the night.
• The Lions kept things close in the second half, cutting the lead back down to eight points but struggles from three-point range kept them behind.

 
 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Sequoia Wheeler led the Lions with 15 points while Alaygza Portis and Erykah Campbell each tallied 11 points.
• Campbell also added five rebounds and four blocks.
