PORTLAND, Ore. – Hot Shooting from #12 Eastern Oregon took down the Multnomah Lions, 115-85. Strong efforts came from Junior Darius Redrick with 23 points and Freshmen Max Upchurch who splashed in 16. The Mountaineers followed Bryan McGriff who led all scorers with 35.
 
How It Happened
The Men's Basketball team hosted #12 Eastern Oregon Friday night, who sits second in the Cascade Conference at 19-5. The Mountaineers jumped out to an early 12-2 lead in the opening three minutes of play. Both teams traded baskets throughout the middle of the half until Multnomah mounted a 16-4 to bring the game within two, 25-27.  Darius Redrick and Max Upchurch gave tough performances combining for 21 of Multnomah's first-half points.

The second half began with both teams matching the other, until the 11:52 mark when the Lions showed promise of a comeback. Redrick splashed a deep three in to bring the Lions behind Eastern Oregon, 65-73. The Mountaineers stretched the lead to double-digits and continued widening the gap, eventually taking the win, 115-85.

Sophomore Andy Brown turned heads with his hustle play, including a loose ball dive into the stands. Brown finished the night with 10 points, 6 rebounds. Thomas Simien ended with 8 points, followed by Ben Grandle & Ezekiel Martin who both put in 7.

What's Next?
