PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team opened up Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a rocky start, falling to Oregon Tech 4-0 on Friday night at Delta Park.
The Lions tallied five shots with four on goal while the Oregon Tech notched 12 shots, nine landing on goal.
Oregon Tech (4-1-1, 1-0 CCC) recorded the only goal of the first half in the 19
th minute, after a foul gave the Owls a penalty kick, knocked in by Lodewijk Bloemzaad.
Noe Favila and
Jacoby Boaz led the Lions with two shots each while
Austin McKee added one shot on goal.
Brennan Gazdik added to the Owl's lead, recording a header in the 57
th minute of the second half after a pass from Daniel Blessinger.
Bloemzaad led the Oregon Tech offense with four shots, three on goal, while Trinidad Flores added three shots including a goal in the 74
th minute. Devin Lutz finished off the scoring on the night moments later, scoring in the 76 minute of play.
The Lions return to Delta Park tomorrow afternoon for a match against Southern Oregon.
