LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's basketball team struggled on the road at Eastern Oregon as the Mountaineers took a 106-74 win to complete the season sweep of the Lions on Friday night.
The Lions (4-19, 1-14 CCC) were led by senior guard
Blake Updike, current Cascade Conference scoring leader, who tallied 33 points on night, shooting 12-of-23 from the field, including hitting four shots from behind the arc.
Following him was
Mikey Chown with nine points, all coming from downtown, and
Jason Wyncoop with eight points.
Jordan Paris grabbed 10 rebounds and added five points on the night. MU kept their season average, knocking down a total of 12 3-pointers on the night.
For Eastern Oregon (14-12, 9-7 CCC), five players ended the night in double figures in points with Kalvin Johanson leading 26 points followed by Case Rada (17 points), Christian Parrott (16), Travis Meeker (15), and Trell Washington who totaled 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Mountaineers ended the night with a 56 field goal percentage.
The Lions continue on their road trip tomorrow night as they head to Caldwell, Idaho for another conference match against College of Idaho before returning home for their final weekend of conference home games.
