PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team finished the first season as members of the Cascade Collegiate Conference, falling to Evergreen State 90-61 on the road on Saturday night.
 
The Lions (4-24, 2-18 CCC) shot 33 percent on the night while Evergreen (6-19, 6-14 CCC) connected on nine three-pointers and finished shooting 51 percent from the field.
 
Multnomah stayed close with the Geoducks through the first quarter of play, down 22-20 heading into the second period of play.
 
Bethany George led the Lions with a career high 17 points on the night, hitting four threes on five attempts. Following her was Lacie Kamper with 14 points and eight rebounds while Lexie Govert tallied 12 points.
 
Evergreen expanded on their lead in the third quarter, taking an 18 point advantage before leading 61-46 heading into the final quarter of play.
 
Uriah Thomas finished her career at Evergreen with 30 points and added 10 rebounds while Gabi Fenumiai computed 23 points and Victoria Elleby finished with 14 points.
 
The Lions will finish their final game of the year at home on Monday as they host New Hope Christian on senior night.
