Lions drop close game to Geoducks, 64-67

Olympia, Wash. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team found themselves in a back and forth contest with the Geoducks from The Evergreen State College in their second Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) matchup of the season. With the two teams exchanging leads 8 times, the Lions simply could not find a solution for the Geoducks senior post player, Gabi Fenumiai, who posted a 25 point, 12 rebound performance to give MU their first CCC loss of the young season.

• The Short Story: Multnomah was severely out-rebounded by Evergreen State with a 51-25 final total, favoring the Geoducks. The Lions managed to force 26 turnovers out of their competitors by collecting 12 steals and 5 blocked shots.
