KIRKLAND, Wash. – The
Multnomah University women's basketball team dropped their second consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) contest on Saturday night to Northwest University, 66-79. The Lady Lions found themselves in an early 11 point hole in the first three minutes of the game and the margin remained steady through the rest of the match.

• The Short Story: Multnomah struggled to find the basket for the first 3.5 minutes of the game while NU jumped out to an 11 point lead. The Lions managed to cut the lead to 3 early in the second quarter, but were never able to fully match the host team behind the strong performance from Hannah Carlson who put in 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the way for NU. MU out-rebounded NU 51-41 but struggled from behind the arch, only shooting 18.5% from 3 point range, and turned the ball over 27 times.
How It Happened
• Milan Woods led the way for MU with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals.
• Lacie Kamper put in 14 points off of 6-12 shooting and was one rebound away (9) from posting a double double.
• Miranda Schmillen added 12 points,
Kayla Hyppolite put in 8 points, and
Katherine Edmonds pulled down 10 rebounds.
