EUGENE, Ore. – The Multnomah University volleyball team played a close match against Northwest Christian but couldn't find a way to finish, losing in three sets 23-25, 15-25, and 20-25 on the road on Friday night.
The Beacons (10-13, 8-9 CCC) worked a .240 hitting percentage while holding the Lions (10-16, 3-14 CCC) to an attacking percentage of just .068.
MU's
Marissa Rhodes totaled 21 assists as
Miranda Halverson,
Patty Batoon and
Maile Kam each tallied seven kills to lead the team. Halverson added 11 digs in the back row while
Kiana Miller finished with 10.
For Northwest Christian, Cassidy Winters ended the night with a match high 13 kills on 23 swings while Taylor Burnett added nine kills. Maci Beierle earned 33 assists to lead both sides and Sydney Rothenbush finished with 16 digs.
The Lions return to action tomorrow night as they play their final road match of the year at Corban University.
