PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's basketball team struggled from behind the arc as they looked to find some offense against the fifteenth-ranked Southern Oregon Raiders, losing 84-56 on Saturday night on Jim Skagen Court.
The Lions (4-18, 1-14 CCC) went 10-of-38 from three-point line while the Raiders (20-5, 13-2 CCC) finished with four players with 10 or more points and a field goal percentage of 44 percent.
Both teams struggled to score in the opening minutes of the first half. With the score 12-11 in favor of the Raiders, SOU went on a 13-2 run to break away from the Lions before heading into halftime with a nine point lead.

Thomas Simien added 10 points and nine rebounds of his own.
"One of those nights where the ball wouldn't go in, we liked what we were doing but couldn't get it done," said head coach
Curt Bickley. "Southern Oregon is a great team."
Justin Martin hit a career high for himself against the Lions, recording 23 points while hitting seven three-points in the game. Following him was Ben DeSaulnier with 22 points and Jordan West with 17 points.
Southern Oregon won the rebound battle 56-45, and committed only six turnovers compared to MU's 14.
The Lions will travel next weekend as they look to rematch Eastern Oregon on Friday and College of Idaho on Saturday.
