PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University women's basketball team couldn't get over a second half slump, losing to Warner Pacific 69-46 on Tuesday night.
The Lions (4-16, 2-10 CCC) were led the junior guard
Miranda Schmillen who totaled 12 points on the night, shooting 6-of-12 from the field. Following her was senior
Lexie Govert with eight points and
Lacie Kamper with six points.
Warner Pacific took a 32-24 lead after the first two quarters of play, closing out the second quarter on a 10-6 run. The Knights largest lead of the came with just over a minute to go in the game, reaching 27 points.
Warner was led by Kendra Preuninger who totaled 13 points while Amari Hampton and Kyeli Hendryx both tallied 10 points on the night. Hampton added a team high seven rebounds.
The Lions return home on Friday to welcome Oregon Tech before playing Southern Oregon on Saturday night.
