PORTLAND, Ore. – In a non-conference match, Linfield College took a 5-0 win over the Multnomah University men's soccer team in Klamath Falls, Ore., on Saturday morning.
The Lions came out to a quick start earning the first shot of the game by Ben Klassen which landed wide of the net.
Freshman midfielder
Austin McKee added another attempt a few minutes later, also missing wide before Linfield would put away their first goal of the game by junior forward Joey Grachek.
MU totaled nine shots on the day with seven on those coming in the first half. McKee led the attack for the Lions tallying four shots while freshman midfielder
Michael Kochis added two more with one on goal.
In the closing minutes of the first half, the Wildcats added two more goals both by junior midfielder Rhys Lendio. The first one came in the 43rd minute after a ricochet by Grachek and the second goal followed in the 45th.
Linfield totaled 29 shots in game, with 10 on goal and had 12 different players attempt at least one shot.

Danny Mangione added five saves in his first game in goal this season.
"Guys played well," said head coach
Tom Stephens, "Happy as we continue to work out positions to get ready for the regular season."
Lendio completed his hat trick for the Wildcats in the 60
th minute before they landed their final goal of the game three minutes later by midfielder Dylan Leathers.
With the loss the Lions drop to 0-2 on the early season and look to play Trinity Lutheran in another non-conference game tomorrow at 12 p.m. in Klamath Falls, Ore.
