Lions Fall Hard in Loss to Rocky Mountain

Billings, Mont. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team fell hard after a long road trip, losing to Rocky Mountain College 14-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Battlin' Bears of RMC improved to a perfect 9-0 overall on the season after receiving votes in the NAIA's latest Top 25 poll.

The Lions drop to 0-6 on the year and 0-3 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

How it Happened: RMC came out quickly in the early portion of the contest, scoring two goals in the first ten minutes of play. The Lions were unable to possess the ball on the opposing side of the field, causing ample opportunity for the Battlin' Bears to get on the scoreboard.

From the Coach: "Very Happy with the heart of the squad. In the midst of the growing pains of a new program, injuries and eligibility, our men played all the way to the end," said head coach Tom Stephens. "I am proud to be their coach and every day we get better for the future"

What's Next: The Lions will have a travel day as they head to Caldwell, Idaho, to face off against the College of Idaho on Sunday.
