ASHLAND, Ore. – Jordan Paris recorded a team high 17 points as they Lions fell in their first contest against the 10
th-ranked Southern Oregon Raiders, losing 97-71 at Ashland High School on Thursday night in the team's return to Cascade Conference action.
Three other Lions landed in double figures in points with
Ben Grandle hitting five 3-pointers to finish with 15 points followed by
Thomas Simien with 14 points and
Blake Updike with 11 points. Simien also added a team high eight rebounds while Grandle and Paris both tallied six rebounds.
The loss drops the Lions overall record to 4-9 while going 1-4 in the Cascade Conference. For the Raiders, they improve on a great start to their season, moving to 11-3 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the CCC.
Southern Oregon jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead in the opening half and never looked back, finishing the half with a 51-30 advantage.
For the Raiders, Justin Martin and Clay Sierra each totaled 20 points followed by Brennan Rakoz with 12 points.
Multnomah continues Cascade Conference play tomorrow night as they travel to Danny Miles Court to face Oregon Tech.
