Lewiston, Idaho – In their first road game of the season, the Multnomah University women's basketball team came against NAIA Division I opponent Lewis-Clark State College and played to a 101-38 loss on Friday night.
The Lions fall to 0-2 overall in the early season, while the Warriors jump to 3-0 on the year.
How it Happened: The Lions earned the first points of the contest, but from there on out, things went the Warriors way. LCSC closed out the first quarter with a 14-0 run to take a 14-2 leading heading into the second quarter.
The scoring streak continued before a three-pointer by MU's
Valerie Wakefield broke the streak, making the score 22-5. Both teams found a little more offense in the second quarter before heading into half time 41-15 in favor of the Warriors.
The Warriors garnered their largest lead of the night with 35 second left in the contest bringing the score to 99-36 before a final shot by MU's
Lacie Kamper and two LCSC free throws ended the game 101-38.
By the Numbers: Kamper led the way for the Lions recorded eight points while gathering seven rebounds.
Lexie Govert added eight points of her own along with five rebounds while Wakefield ended with six points and
Katherine Edmonds tallied five rebounds.
For the Warriors, Kaylea Knox finished with a game high 24 points and Natahnee Spencer closed out the night with a double-double, recording 11 points with 10 assists.

Tim Bieri. "We look forward to another opportunity to learn and get better tomorrow."
