Lions Play Close with 10th-Ranked Corban

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah University men's soccer team may have played against the 10th-ranked team in Corban, but the Lions didn't think too much of it as they played one of their best defensive games of the year, but offensive struggles led a the Warriors winning 3-0 at home on Saturday evening.

The Warriors continue with their impressive season, improving to 13-1 overall on the year while the Lions are still getting the hang of things in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

How it Happened: Corban launched 23 shots in the first period of play and didn't wait long before capitalizing off a header by James Williamson in the ninth minute to take the lead. All three goals for Corban came in the first half as the Warriors scored two back to back goals in the 22nd minute and the 26th minute to end the scoring for the night.
