Tayo was born and raised in Portland, OR and graduated from David Douglas high school.
Tayo continued his academic and basketball career at Western Oregon University (D2) as a redshirt. He then transferred to Cascade College (NAIA) and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree.
Tayo has 12 years of coaching and player development experience at the AAU, high school, college, and professional level. His desire for coaching comes from the love of basketball and the passion of having a positive impact on young people, helping them reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Tayo returns to the Cascade Collegiate Conference as an assistant coach with Multnomah University as the 2022-23 season will be his first with the Lions.
