Multnomah Lions loss to Southern Oregon

The Multnomah Lions fell to Southern Oregon University in a 2-0 well fought battle. This showed the improvement that the program has made. The history between these two has not always looked so good for the Multnomah Lions.

Both teams came to play, and that they did for the first 44 minutes of the 1st half. Ashley Thomas had a late foul in the box, which caused a penalty kick for the Raiders. Malaika Quigley took advantage and helped the Raiders end the half 1-0.

The Lions came out in the 2nd half struggling to be able to find the goal. They had a total of 4 shots to which only 1 which was on goal. The Raiders however played very well together and had a total of 8 shots with 4 of them on goal.

Both goalkeepers had a great defensive line in front of them as they both had very few goals to save today. The Raiders goalie had the lead with 4 saves total in the game.

The Lions were coming off a victory over Oregon Tech and will continue to hunt for more wins next weekend as they travel to Montana to play Carroll College and University of Providence.
