To the Multnomah Lion Family,
 
After much prayer and consideration, Multnomah University has decided to eliminate the Men's and Women's Lacrosse programs, effective immediately. This decision was not an easy one. We understand this decision impacts a number of individuals and that is a frustrating outcome.
 
The Multnomah University administration made this financial decision to help create a sustainable path forward for the institution at large.  While this decision has proven to be very difficult, it was decided this is the best strategy moving forward for our students.
 
Scholarship commitments will be honored beyond this year for any student-athletes who choose to finish their degree at MU. For student-athletes who wish to transfer to another institution, Multnomah University Athletics will help them with their transition.
