The Lions Close Out Their Season on the Road

The Multnomah Women's Basketball Team traveled on the road for the final games of the season to play against Lewis-Clark State College and Walla Walla University on February 17th and 18th, 2023.  


The Games:
        In the first match of the night against Lewis and Clark the Lions were ready to end the season with a win and came out ready to play and have fun on their last games on the road. The match started out tight in the beginning but unfortunately LC- State pulled away and ended the game swiftly with victory of 58 to 89. The top scorer of the game for the Lions was Alaygza Portis with 21 points and 5 rebounds, Shaila Mays followed behind with 13 points, 6 rebounds and a steal. The next night against the Wolves the Lions were putting up a fight for the final game of the season, tensions were high and both teams kept the game tight fighting for the lead. Shots were sinking for both teams, but the Wolves came out in the end barely winning just by 10 points to end the season for the Lions, 69 to 79. The top scorer for the Lions was Dalila Rincan with 21 points, 7 rebounds and a steal. The Lions had a great season and will return back to Lytle Gymnasium later this winter to start again.

Dalila Rincan had 23 points, 13 rebounds, and a steal
 Shaila Mays had 19 points , 9 rebounds and a steal
Alaygza Portis had 35 points, 12 rebounds, and a steals                                          
Elise Graham from the second game scored 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals
Kaela Stonebarger from the second game with 11 points, 3 steals and 4 rebounds
The Numbers:
        The Lions scored 25 points off turnovers combined
The Lions scored 31 points off the bench
The Lions scored 54 points in the paint
