The Lions Final Games on the Road

The Multnomah Lions traveled for the final time down to Lewis-Clark State and Walla Walla to close out the season and in hopes to slip into the conference tournament play. The Lions played LC- State first on February 17th, 2023, and Tyrese Taylor was player of the game dropping 31 points and 8 rebounds for the game trying to lead the Lions to victory, but LC- State had three players; Davian Brown scoring 23, John Lustig and Grayson Hunt both scoring 18 points to help pull away for the win over the Lions 70 to 87. The following day, the Lions had a late night to play against Walla Walla on the 18th at 9:00pm, wanting to redeem themselves from the loss last night and losing to Walla Walla at home, they wanted to make a statement to end their final season game. Tyrese Taylor and Zach Richardson both were sinking shots to help the Lions propel and hold the lead. Taylor scored 24 points and grabbed 13 big rebounds. Richardson scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals for the game. The Lions outscored the Wolves in the paint with 28 to 22 and had 27 points off the bench compared to 25 for the Wolves. The top scorer of the night for Walla Walla was Andrew Vaughan with 17 points, 4 rebound and a steal. The Lions ended their season with a victory over the Wolves 77 to 86, just shy of missing the tournament, but the Lions closed out well and will be ready next season.
