The Eagles Excellent Shooting Was Too Much for the Lions

Box Score     The Multnomah University's Men's Basketball team was back home to compete against the Eagles of Northwest University. The Eagles soared to an easy victory over the Lions with a final score of 107-75.

The Eagles got off to a hot start, starting the game on a 17-2 run. There was never a response by the Lions as the Eagles let it fly from three all game long. Northwest had three players with at least 20 points, and the star of the game, Coa Chatman, had 33 to his name. Coa made nine of the first ten shots he took from beyond the ark. This amazing shooting performance from the guard was too much for the Lions as they found no way to slow him down the whole game. Coa narrowly missed a double-double performance, putting up 9 assists in all. Lewis Pope and Drew Bryson were the other Eagles with over 20 points. Zach Richardson was the only Lion with at least 20 points, he as well had 9 rebounds and 6 assists too. Tyrese Taylor was close behind with 18 points and 7 rebounds as well. The Eagles took flight and never looked back as they never let go of the lead from the tip-off. They shot a stellar 21-44 from beyond the arc, which paved the way for a blowout win over the Lions.

With this loss, it makes it far more difficult for Multnomah to have a chance to make the CCC playoff. It is win or go home for the Lions now as they stare down the end of their season with only three more games in conference play. The Lions have never needed a win more and the pressure rises as the all competitive CCC schedule comes to a close. The Lions come back on Saturday, February 11th at 5:00 PM to face the Evergreen Geoducks.
