In a challenging CCC opening weekend, the Multnomah Men's Basketball team hosted Bushnell University, facing a tough 0-2 start to the season. The Lions fought valiantly but ultimately succumbed to Bushnell with a final score of 99-77.

Bushnell's #22, Corey Johnson, emerged as a dominant force, leading his team with an impressive 29 points on a remarkable 10-14 shooting performance. Adding to Bushnell's defensive prowess, #40 Spencer Hoffman contributed significantly with 12 crucial rebounds.

Despite the Lions' setback, #3 Marje Windfield showcased his offensive skills, leading the team with 21 points on a 7-11 shooting display. On the boards, #12 James Sanders stepped up, grabbing 8 rebounds to help Multnomah in the paint.

The Bushnell Beacons exhibited a sharpshooting performance with a 57.8% field goal percentage, while the Multnomah Lions struggled, posting a 40.6% field goal percentage. Bushnell took control at one point in the second half, surging ahead with a 26-point lead.
