In a challenging weekend for Multnomah Women's Basketball, the Lions hosted Bushnell University in the CCC opening weekend. The ultimately went 0-2 in their matchups for the weekend. The game against Bushnell ended with a final score of 66-59, marking a tough loss for the Lions.
 
Bushnell's #42, Libby Mathis, emerged as a standout player, leading her team with an impressive 22 points. Mathis displayed exceptional accuracy, going 10-14 in field goals, and contributed significantly on the defensive end with 11 rebounds. Aspen Slifka, wearing #2 for the Beacons, also played a crucial role, adding 21 points to the scoreboard.
 
On the Lions' side, #0 Savannah Huerta led the team with a notable 26 points, showcasing her scoring prowess with a 10-16 field goal record. Additionally, #30 Gracie Browning made an impact, leading the team with 7 rebounds while contributing 14 points.
 
The Bushnell Beacons dominated in field goal percentage, boasting a 49.0%, while the Multnomah Lions faced challenges, finishing with a 33.3% field goal percentage.

Their next destination is Tacoma, where they will face off against the University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University. After their road trip, the Lions will return home on December 9th for a matchup against Lewis & Clark College at 2:00 pm.
