Lions dropped by the Warriors

Multnomah University started the second half of conference by hosting #5 Corban University at home tonight. The Lions started off strong with a tight win in the first set but dropped the following three sets ending in 23-25, 25-16, 25-11, 25-17.

The visiting Warriors (17-3, 11-1 CCC) recorded 46 kills in the victory with Rylee Troutman leading with 13 kills.

Multnomah (2-10, 2-10) stayed on the heels of Corban throughout the first set. Lauren Porter helped the Lions defense hold strong tonight with a total of 21 digs.

Corban controlled the majority of Set 2, by having multiple runs of 4+ points during the set.  A combo of service aces and great kills in the second set, kept Corban in the lead for the entire set.

The Warriors gained a large lead (6-0) start in the beginning of the Set 3. The lead continued to grow over the set, as they Warriors had the largest lead of the night at 23-10. The blocks that the Lions were putting up had nothing on the attacks coming from Corban tonight.

The Lions came back in Set 4, trying to put together some attacks that would help them go into a decision set. However, the Warriors were able to get it done in 4.

Corban's Rylee Troutman lead in both kills (13) and digs (18) for the team. Nadeiah Howard had 20 assists and Allyson Reid rounded out the night with 6 blocks.

Maya Blake had 14 kills for Multnomah, with Lauren Porter leading all players with 21 digs.
