Thrilling Showdown Ends with College of Idaho Edging Multnomah Men's Soccer 4-3

In a heart-pounding showdown between Multnomah Men's soccer and the College of Idaho, spectators were treated to a remarkable display of skill and determination as the Yotes narrowly triumphed over the Lions, securing a 4-3 victory.

The first half of the game saw both teams locked in a fierce battle, with the College of Idaho taking a slim 1-0 lead in the 29th minute when Eric Homung found the back of the net, perfectly assisted by Dani Alejos.

The Yotes continued to assert their dominance in the second half, extending their lead in the 49th minute as Poi Romero capitalized on a fantastic opportunity, courtesy of Hugo Guevara's precise assist. Romero's scoring prowess continued as he notched another goal in the 56th minute, with assists coming from both Maurice Notter and Joao Bastos.

Not to be outdone, the College of Idaho's offense struck again in the 63rd minute when Jorge Fernandez scored, assisted by the ever-capable Eric Hornung, making it a 4-0 game.

The Lions, showing incredible resilience, launched a formidable comeback. Nicolas Perdomo started the rally in the 47th minute, scoring with a well-timed assist from Aghiles Lamara. Bashir Zahouri kept the momentum going with a goal in the 78th minute, courtesy of Jaren Bowler's precise pass. The Lions' determination paid off once more in the 82nd minute when Juan Santana found the net, assisted by Axcele Biteghe.

Both teams' goalkeepers exhibited remarkable skills, each making three saves during the match. College of Idaho, however, outperformed the Lions in shots on goal, recording seven in total.

Ultimately, the College of Idaho managed to retain their lead, securing a hard-fought 4-3 victory in what will surely be remembered as an unforgettable soccer showdown.
