The Multnomah Lions stayed at home to host a matchup against Lewis-Clark State College on January 7
th, 2023, at 6:00pm. The Lions were coming off a victory last night against Walla Walla and planned to keep their home winning streak alive. Multnomah took control of the game early and was aggressive offensively in the paint and at the rim making it difficult for the Warriors to respond. The Lions pressured the Warriors well and got 16 points off turnovers while the Lions only had 2 turnovers for the game.
Tyrese Taylor showed out this game leading with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal,
Neyland Block also contributed with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals,
Wallace Ungwiluk scored 11 points and 1 rebound and
Zen Goodridge got 7 points, 2 rebounds and 1 block for MU. Lewis-Clark State was making great plays at the rim and sunk contested 3-pointers to try to stop Multnomah's momentum. The Warriors got 32 points in the paint and 26 points off the bench. John Lustig was the top scorer with 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, his teammate Keegan Crosby got 8 points and 9 rebounds, Grayson Hunt with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block, and lastly Oreon Courtney matched Lustig with 10 rebounds and 4 points for the Warriors. In the final seconds of the game Multnomah got a stop that helped them keep the lead ending the game 71 to 66 for another win at home. The Lions will travel on the road to play against The Evergreen State College on January 13
th, 2023, at 7:30pm.
