The Multnomah Lions continue to host conference games at home to start off 2023 with a matchup playing against Walla Walla on January 6
th, 2023, at 2:00pm. The Lions were coming off a hard-fought game against Oregon Tech and planned to regain their home winning streak. Multnomah took control of the game early and was aggressive offensively in the paint. The Lions had 48 points from the paint and 40 from the bench against the Wolves. Tension was high for both teams and both teams showed their strength by scoring major plays in the form of dunks. Ultimately Multnomah was the better team and shots were sinking more in favor for the Lions.
Tyrese Taylor was the top scorer of the game for MU with 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. His teammates
Zen Goodridge had 11 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had 2 blocks,Â
Wallace Ungwiluk also matched with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals,
Zach Richardson scored 9 points, had 2 rebounds and 1 steal and lastly,
Amande Uchime had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Walla Walla's top scorer of the game was Ethan Ford with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal, his teammate Andrew Vaughan had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal. The Wolves also scored 30 points in the paint and 38 points from the bench. The game ended with Multnomah pulling away with a 20-point lead to end the game 83 to 63 to start off 2023 with a victory at home. The Lions will stay at home to play against Lewis-Clark State College on January 7
th, 2023, at 6:00pm.
