The Lions Fall on the Road to Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon

The Multnomah Women's Basketball Team are back on the road with two match ups against Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon on January 27-28th, 2023, at 5:30pm.

The Games:
The Multnomah Lions hit the road for the final time to play against Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University. The Lions played OIT on Friday night and challenged the Owls well even pulling away with a 11- point lead in the second quarter, but the Owls had more shots sinking and took charge of the game at the end pulling away in the final minutes of the 4th quarter ending the game 56 to 67. The Lions averaged 35.3 from the FG, 69.6 from the FT and 33.3 from 3 pointers. The leading scorer for the game was Elise Graham with 14 points and Alaygza Portis was right behind with 13 points, and both tied with 5 rebounds. The following day, the Lions came with great energy ready to play Southern Oregon and shake off the loss from Oregon Tech. The Lions kept the game close by trying to keep The Raiders from getting in the paint and contest their shots from the 3-point line, but The Raiders scored heavily off of the Lions turnovers and was able to pull away after the second quarter and end the game 55 to 66. The Lions had 20 points in the paint and averaged 31.0 from the FG and 80.0 from the FT. Dalila Rincan was the top scorer of the game with 23 points, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 2 rebounds. Shaila Mays contributed as well with 12 points, 8 huge rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 block.
