Multnomah Men's Basketball was back for their second game of the week against the Warriors of Corban University. Tensions flared throughout the game as Corban got off to a hot start, but Multnomah responded well, keeping the game close for the first part of the half.
Corban ended up pulling away in the second half with the help of Taylor Anderson who shot an amazing 9-12 from the floor for 19 points and Mateo Escheik putting up 17 points and 7 rebounds. The Warriors shot an efficient 52% from the floor, dominated the 2
nd chance points, as well as the points off turnover.
The Lion's struggled to get anything going offensively with the exception of
Neyland Block who shot 6-7 and scored a team leading 14 points. The only other Lion in double digits offensively was
Quentin Jones with 10 points. The rest of the team had an evenly distributed night scoring.
Tyrese Taylor was 2 points and a rebound away from another double-double.
Corban continued to pull away towards the end of the game, which finished with a final of 89-72. Multnomah looks forward to a bounce back game Saturday January 21
st against the Bushnell Beacons at 5:00 PM, after two straight losses.
