The final weekend of Cascade Collegiate Conference play finds the Multnomah Lions hosting two matches at home, starting with the Owls of the Oregon Institute of Technology on Friday night. The Lions were looking to notch a 5th win on the season, while the Owls looked to keep their hopes alive for a potential playoff berth.

The teams played neck-in-neck for much of the two sets, with late-set runs from the Owls, and costly errors by the making the difference in both of the first two sets. In set 2, Multnomah rallied to tie the score at 23 apiece, before a service error and block attack from the Lions allowed Oregon Tech to take a 2-0 lead.

Set 3 would belong to the Owls from start to finish, despite strong play at the net from Jocelynn Porter (6 kills, 3 blocks for the match), and staunch defense from libero Lauren Porter (18 digs).

The Owls were led on offense by Molly Grace with 9 kills. Aubrey Kievit contributed 19 digs in OIT's winning effort. Alyssa Aubrey added 4 blocks for the Lions, and setters Rachel Bailey and Harmony Hunter chipped in with 9 and 8 assists respectively.

Multnomah hosts the University of Southern Oregon on Saturday night at 5 PM, in the final regular season match of CCC competition, and senior night for the Lions.
On the final night of regular season Cascade Conference play, the Multnomah Lions hosted the Raiders of Southern Oregon University at Lytle gymnasium, where Multnomah celebrated the final match for seniors Danae Stokes and Hannah McPhetridge, and #22nd ranked Southern Oregon prepared for their final tuneup ahead of conference playoffs.

The match was competitive out of the gates, with the Lions taking an early 7-1 lead. The Raiders rallied behind the strong serving of Taylor Russell (3 aces). Russell would also add 17 assists for the Raiders' offensive effort.

That momentum carried the Raiders to a 25-19 victory in the first set, and sustained them through the 2nd set, allowing them a 2-0 lead to start set 3.

The Lions, behind the sharp hitting of Jocelynn Porter (7 kills) Danae Stokes (6 kills) and Ashley Allred (6 kills), fought to extend the match, and the score was tied at 22 apiece in set 3. A pair of errors would prove costly down the stretch, as Southern Oregon added another block to their total (led by Sadie Bird with 9). With a final score of 28-26 in extra points, Southern Oregon was able to sweep the Lions to conclude their season and begin a hopeful march through CCC playoffs.
