Multnomah University Women's soccer is back at home to host Northwest University on October 14th with kickoff at 11:00am. The game started out slow with both the Lions and Eagles playing great defensive, but the game quickly sped up once the Lady Eagles scored the first goal of the game by #21 Gracie Vanassche with an assist from #23 Kayla Sodestrom. The Lady Lions were quick to get down to field after the first goal to try to make shot attempts on the goal and tried to keep the Eagles out of the box, but the Eagles played hard on defensive and kept the ball away out of the Lions possession.

Nataly Serrano to tie up the game. The Lady Lions put pressure on the Eagles as they fought back and forth throughout the second period and #00
Tai Brennan totaled up to 17 saves for the game defending the goal for the Lions. During the start of second period the Lady Eagles closed in on the Lions and #16 Elizabeth Moretti scored the second goal assisted by #14 Halley Marschall for Northwest putting them in the lead 2-1 and with 14 minutes left in the game #21 Gracie Vanasche scored the third goal assisted by #12 Sarah Hansen giving the Eagles a dominate lead of 3-1 and #4 Anna Lau scored again for the Eagles assisted by #12 Sarah Hansen again to seal the victory and close out the game 4-1 at Williford Field.
The Lady Lions rested and came back ready to play The Evergreen State College the next day. Kick off was at 11:00am and as soon as the Geoducks got the ball within the first 10 seconds of the game, #15 Brie Dell assisted by #14 Peyton Rhyne scored the first goal of the game putting Evergreen in the lead. The Lady Lions retaliated and took the ball back into their possession to attempt to answer back with shot attempts on the goals and #22
Sydney Holmes taking advantage of using corner kicks as well. The Geoducks throughout the rest of the first period and into the second continued to put pressure on the Lions to hold their lead. The Lions fought hard offensively and with 6 minutes left in the game #18

Valeria Castro scored a goal to end the game against the Geoducks with a tie, 1-1. The Lady Lions will be back at Williford Field next weekend to play a pair of matches against Rocky Mountain College on October 21
st and University of Providence on October 22
nd both at 11:00am.
